Meet Bestselling Author Ian Tasker

Ian Tasker's journey began in New Zealand, where he was born in 1959 and started his career in telecommunications with the New Zealand Post Office which went through three technology evolutions during his cadetship. In 1984, he immigrated to Australia and founded Victoria's first computer training centre in 1985, training 1240 project managers over seven years. He then joined a Technology Strategy Group, managing 5200 system engineers across 132 countries, setting strategic directions for future technologies in the Asia-Pacific region.  

As a principal consultant and messaging specialist, Ian guided a senior consultants' team in problem-solving, risk management, and contracting principles. He co-authored a globally used Consulting Practice Management System, which improved efficiency and morale through standardized best practices and near real-time reporting.
